Story

Simon Delancey is a small time con man.  While in Bridlington he books into a small hotel.  The receptionist, Cassandra is shocked to see Simon since he is a ghost from her past.  Simon, however does not recognise her.  Cassandra and her best friend Jacqui kidnap Simon.  Back in the early eighties Simon had been a member of the one hit wonders band The Venus Hunters.  Cassandra and Jacqui ran the Venus' fan club.  Simon had done a runner taking money with him that was meant for the fan club.  However, Cassandra and Jacqui aren't bothered about getting the money back.  They want Simon to reform The Venus Hunters for a BBC special featuring bands from the early eighties.  Simon doesn't want to do it but is "persuaded" by Cassandra and Jacqui.  However, re-forming the band could be easier said than done.  Simon hasn't seen the rest of the band for fifteen years and they hated him even then...
